The Libertine, written by Stephen Jeffreys, set at the Nottingham Playhouse. Set and Costume designed around Rochesters illness and depression. The costume reflects on how the characters revolve around Rochesterand shows how he effects certain people with his illness. His own costume changes throughout the play as he starts loosing clothing as his illness gets worse. The set is based around a revolve with a room on the inside and a wall on the outside, these change throughout the play to help quick scene changes. In the back is a broken window which looms over the set constantly to constantly remind the audience of Rochester's illness with 2 more glamorous windows in the front which fly in an dout for certain scenes where he puts a front on for those around him.
